This Privacy Policy explains how iam.cash ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and financial tools.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Email address - collected when you choose to unlock your tool results
- Tool responses - the answers you provide in our financial assessment tools (stored anonymously until you provide your email)
- Session data - a randomly generated session ID stored in sessionStorage (not a persistent cookie), the page you visited, and your referrer URL
- Device data - your approximate screen width and browser user agent (for analytics purposes only)
- IP address and approximate geolocation - country and city level only, via ip-api.com
- UTM parameters - marketing campaign parameters present in your URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver your tool results and personalized recommendations to your email
- Send follow-up educational content related to the tool you completed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Understand which tools are most useful to founders (aggregate analytics)
- Improve the accuracy and usefulness of our tools
- Display social proof counts ("X founders unlocked this week") using aggregate data only
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Brevo (Sendinblue) - we store your email address and tool results in Brevo to send you your results and follow-up emails. Brevo is GDPR-compliant. Brevo Privacy Policy.
- ip-api.com - we use this service to determine your approximate country and city from your IP address. IP data is not stored permanently.
- Cloudflare - our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes network traffic as part of their CDN and DDoS protection services. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) - we use GA4 for anonymous usage analytics. GA4 uses cookies and may transfer data to the US. You can opt out via Google's tools.
- Meta Pixel - we use the Meta Pixel for conversion tracking on our advertising campaigns. You can opt out via Meta's ad preferences.
4. Cookies and Storage
We use sessionStorage (not cookies) to store your session ID during your visit. SessionStorage is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use persistent tracking cookies beyond what Google Analytics and Meta Pixel set (which you can control via your browser).
5. Data Retention
We retain your email address and tool results indefinitely unless you request deletion. We retain session data for 90 days. Aggregate analytics data is retained indefinitely but contains no personally identifiable information.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time (every email contains an unsubscribe link)
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications

7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Our API uses HTTPS encryption. We do not store financial data beyond what you enter in our tools (we store your answers for recommendation purposes only, not for financial account access). We do not store passwords, social security numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial credentials.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@iam.cash.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
